My Lord, you jest. Since the divine fruit was given by the Goddess, it certainly does not count for stealing.

Fever
I haven't recovered. If anything, it got worse. I'm not one to have a fever. But yes, I'm down with a fever of 38.8°C and here I am, on Tumblr writing this. Because it makes me feel better.
I'll sleep after this.

The door swung open just as soon as the royal physician was about to take his leave. ZiYe was panting, his hand still on the door. "宝贝姐姐! (baobei jiejie, which roughly translates to baby older sister)" you heard the shrill voice of your psychotic brother, also known as the King. The royal physician nodded his greeting before taking his leave. With all the strength you could muster, you tried sitting up. But it was difficult. ZiYe held a hand out, gesturing that it was fine. You nodded in thanks.
What does this psycho wants now? All you wanted was to rest and with the King in your room, rest wasn't a possibility. Even if you're his older sister.
"Why didn't you come visit me in so long?!" He pouted, taking a seat next to you. Dude, I can't even leave my bed, much less leave this quarters. If I could, I would have visited you, you psycho. "I was getting bored and nearly wanted to kill people." He says. Kill people? Ha. He wasn't joking. You've read about him in your history books. He was a ruthless emperor. He killed without thinking. He would really kill people. You gave him a weak smile, "I'm sorry, your Majesty. It's just that I've been sick for days and was too weak to even leave my bed. I would have visited you if I could." You explained. "Plus, I didn't want you to get sick as well. You're the leader of the nation. You can't get sick." ZiYe nodded, liking your explanation. You smiled inwardly, there would be no deaths tonight.
"I'll ask the maids to prepare some tonic for you. And also some baskets of herbs." He says, waving his hands. The eunuch stepped forward, nodding at the command of the King. "You have to get better fast, so that I won't get bored and kill people." He adds, and you nodded. For the sake of the innocent lives, you had no choice but to get better.
ZiYe left shortly afterwards, the eunuchs telling him that he had official court affairs to handle. He looked reluctant to leave but left in the end after telling him that you were tired and needed rest, and resting more means you could get well faster.
HeZhan came in shortly after ZiYe's departure. He had waited for the King to leave first. He knew you were sick but he didn't know how bad it was until he bumped into the royal physician. He had been out of the Capital for a few days and only came back a few hours ago. He felt bad for leaving you alone, sick with no husband to take care of you. But you ushered him away. You wouldn't die. You were just down with a fever and cough. You'd survive this. HeZhan felt bad that he had another meeting to attend to in the neighbouring country. He could always cancel and look after you, but you rejected the idea. Official business was more important, you said. You looked at YouLan, "and I have YouLan to look after me. So rest assured and go."
YouLan has been taking care of you the whole day. She replaced the wet towel on your forehead every few hours. She prepared a cold water bath for you to lower your temperature. She had even cooked tonics and herbal medicine for you. Her eyes widened every time you coughed, she would get you water. She tested the temperature every few hours, making sure your fever would go down. But her eyes would widened everytime if felt hot against her skin. Everything would be better if you had your fever medicine with you. But in this century and time, you could forget about such advanced technology and get used to the old methods of qi and brewing medicine.
It was late. You'd seen YouLan yawned for the umpteenth time if the night. "Get some rest, YouLan." YouLan shook her head, "it's ok, I'm not tired." But her reactions betrayed her and she yawned again. "I'll be fine for the night. Get some rest." You said, shooing her. With her eyes barely keeping it open, YouLan nodded. She changed the towel on your forehead again before retreating. "Call me if you need anything." She says and you nodded.
It was now you and yourself in the Princess Quarters. HeZhan went on a trip and won't be back until a few days later. The King quarters was far from your quarters. And YouLan had gone to rest. You looked up at the ceiling in quietness.
Your door freaked open. And you sighed. This YouLan never listens. Turning your head, you looked at the intruder. Your eyes widened. "MoXiang?" You croaked. MoXiang frowned, taking in your form. You look weak. Your face was pale and you were flying under numerous sheets. Your hair was disheveled from being in the bed the whole day and also the sweat your body excreted.
"MoXiang, why are you here?" It wasn't that he isn't allowed here. It was just that you were shocked to see him here. Especially at this hour. Out of everyone, you weren't expecting MoXiang. "I heard you were sick." He pouted, inching towards you. You scrambled back, covering your mouth as you coughed. "I'm fine, MoXiang." You wheezed and coughed. He couldn't get near you. He would get sick too if he were to come any closer.
But MoXiang didn't listen. "But I missed you. Didn't you miss me?" He asked. He took a seat by your bedside as you cowered to the far end of the bed, away from him. You covered your mouth, coughing. The wet towel dropped to your bed, forgotten. "MoXiang, please don't come any closer." You coughed, warning him. He gave you a sad look, "do you not want me anymore?" He cried. You sighed. It wasn't what you meant. "I'm sick, MoXiang. I don't want you to get sick too." You scolded lightly, but coughed again.
"MoXiang? You used to call me Xiao Xiang. And now you don't want me near you too..." He pouted again. This guy and his pouts. And he was totally missing the point. You sighed. "Okay, Xiao Xiang~" you cooed from your side. "I'm sick okay? I don't want you near me because I'm afraid you'll get sick too. Remember when I told you, if you get sick, I'll hurt too? " You hoped he had understood what you meant. MoXiang nodded in understanding.
You watched as MoXiang walked away. As much as you didn't want him to leave, he had to. You heard the door closed and you sighed, adjusting yourself back to place. But your eyes widened as MoXiang returned to your side. You cowered back again. "What-" He smiled, pulling you back. He fluffed your pillow and adjusted your blanket.
"Xiao Xiang will look after the Princess." He smiled. He took the forgotten towel and rinsed it again, before placing it on your forehead. "Princess will look after MoXiang when I'm sick too right?" He says and you nodded weakly.
You woke up a few hours later, seeing MoXiang hunched over the bed, a hand still on your forehead. He was going to have a sore back and neck the next day. It was still a few hours before YouLan would check on you. Softly, you poked MoXiang. He stirred awake, his eyes still heavy from sleep. Seeing that you were awake, he smiled sleepily. He took out the towel and placed his hand on your forehead.
"Your fever has gone down." He mumbles. You nodded. He rubbed his neck, seemingly sore from the uncomfortable position. You chuckled. You slid to the far end of the bed, before patting and empty spot next to you. "Here." You smiled. "It's been hard on you, Xiao Xiang." You mumbled. Without hesitation, MoXiang climbed into the empty spot next to you.
You wrapped your arms around him. Your fingers clinging to his robes. MoXiang had him arm around your shoulder, the other hand interlocking fingers with yours. You smiled in your slumber, clinging on to him tighter. You could deal with a sick MoXiang tomorrow morning (if he were to be sick). For now, you just wanted to lie down and enjoy his company.
"Goodnight, Xiao Xiang."
"Goodnight, princess." And he placed a kiss on your forehead.
